Conference Focuses On Maximizing Opportunities

The 2007 Alabama Forage Conference will be held Dec. 13 at the Pike County Cattlemen's Association Building near Troy. The conference theme is "Maximizing 21st Century Forage and Grassland Opportunities." Experts from five states will speak on opportunities with Tifton 85 bermudagrass; benefits of forage-crop and row-crop rotations; practical aspects of weed biology; and species, variety and irrigation impacts on warm-season grasses.

Exhibits will open at 8 a.m and the program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Registration costs $20 before Dec. 1 and $30 at the door.
