Kentucky

University of Kentucky entomologists are telling producers to watch pastures and hayfields for possible armyworm damage over the next two weeks. Infestations in wheat, corn and soybean fields have been reported in western Kentucky. Learn more online at pest.ca.uky.edu/EXT/AW/Armyworm-ENT.pdf.


Michigan

Alfalfa weevils continue to be a problem in some Michigan fields. Cutting is the preferred method for dealing with weevils, although regrowth must be checked, according to Michigan State University. Michigan alfalfa growers are also urged to be on the lookout for potato leafhoppers.
