National Hay Association Meeting Is Sept. 20-22 In Ohio

The National Hay Association's (NHA) annual convention will be held Sept. 20-22 at the Easton Columbus Hilton Hotel in Columbus, OH. On Sept. 20, participants will be bussed to the Ohio Farm Science Review, a world-class agricultural trade show located north of London. A member reception will be held that evening. On Sept. 21, Steve Flick, general manager of the Show Me Energy Cooperative, Centerview, MO, will talk about adding a cellulosic ethanol plant to the co-op's operations in the future. The next day's speaker will be Joe Heese of Farm Partners Supply, Harlan, IA. Farm Partners Supply is a group of 30-plus producers who share ag equipment and expertise. That afternoon, participants can tour an ethanol production facility.

"We've been putting the plans in place for a good meeting in Ohio, and we urge hay producers to come to our meeting," says E.J. Croll, NHA president and a hay producer from Oak Harbor, OH.
