Perennial Peanut Field Day Is June 9
The Perennial Peanut Producers Association is sponsoring the 7th-Annual Perennial Peanut Field Day on June 9 at the Sunbelt Expo grounds in Moultrie, GA. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by three 50-minute breakout sessions geared toward producers or potential producers. Breakout sessions will cover perennial peanut establishment, fertility, marketing, economics, sprayer calibration and many other subjects. Lunch will be provided by the association. For all attendees needing them, Continuing Education Units will be given. There is no cost for the field day.
Perennial peanut is a high-quality, persistent tropical forage legume that can be grazed or fed to horses, dairy and beef cattle, goats, sheep, hogs and rabbits. It can be stored as dry hay or silage and is an ideal substitute for alfalfa.
