State Reports: Tennessee
Gov. Phil Bredesen has requested a federal designation of agricultural disaster for all 95 counties in Tennessee to help farmers who have suffered crop damages as a result of the early April deep freeze. Forages in the state were said to have suffered significant negative impact as a result of the low temperatures.
