Silage Baler
Vermeer's 404 Pro Baler, its first-fixed-chamber round baler, offers maximum crop throughput and improved reliability and performance in high-moisture forage. It makes dense 4 × 4' bales weighing 1,900-2,300 lbs and has several features based on the European design of Welger, which Vermeer acquired last year.
Its Powersplit transmission, with shared-drive gearbox and integrated transversal shafts, divides power equally between the rotor and bale chamber to lower horsepower requirements. Seamless Powergrip steel rollers feature high-strength 2”-diameter shafts and heavy-duty ribbed tubing to grip the bales for maximum compression and positive rotation under all kinds of operating conditions.
