Stretching your forage supplies and year-round grazing are among several topics that will be covered at the 2011 Kansas Hay and Grazing Conference, set for Dec. 7 at the Webster Conference Center in Salina.

Others on the agenda include drought management and contingency plans, alfalfa variety selection for the Plains, transportation compliance guidelines, rangeland and hay-meadow weed control and alfalfa weevils – have they become resistant to insecticides? Todd White, Kansas State University Extension forage agronomist, will be the keynote speaker.

Registration costs $60 and includes lunch, conference proceedings, Kansas Forage and Grassland Council membership and a 2012 KFGC coupon book.
