Hay, Prices Show Little Movement

Prices for high-quality alfalfa hay are holding mostly steady at levels well below last year's peaks. Sales have slowed in recent weeks due to depleted supplies and weak demand from dairies facing low milk prices.

These prices were gathered by USDA in early February. Figures followed by (D) are delivered prices. All others are at the farm. Cube and pellet prices are for bulk sales.
