Managing In Tough Times

The University of Nebraska is offering growers online resources to help them manage their operations and family expenditures in tough economic times. The online resource covers crop and livestock production tips as well as sections called money-saving ideas, family and relationships, home and food and education and opportunities.

The site offers short articles including how to deal with high input costs, reduce irrigation costs and even tips on whether to buy or lease ag machinery.

Other universities are also providing specific information on how to save money and survive during economic upheavals. Search your local university’s Web site for such information or do a google.com search using key words such as “managing in tough times,” the name of the state you’re in and “agriculture”.
