Hay & Forage Grower has joined forces with the National Alfalfa & Forage Alliance to bring readers NAFA's 2010 alfalfa variety guide, also known as the Winter Survival, Fall Dormancy & Pest Resistance Ratings for Alfalfa Varieties leaflet.

The eight-page guide contains submissions of pure alfalfa varieties from the major breeding companies. These proprietary varieties have been approved by the National Alfalfa and Miscellaneous Legumes Variety Review Board (NAVRB) and are eligible for certification by seed certifying agencies.

NAFA has provided pest resistance ratings for each alfalfa, listed by fall dormancy, to help growers make their seed buying decisions. The information comes from the Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies and NAVRB.
