A joint Risk Reduction Research Summit and Minnesota Forage Research Symposium will be held Nov. 16-18 at the Best Western Kelly Inn, St. Cloud, MN.

Sponsored by the Midwest Forage Association (MFA), the event will bring forage producers, crop consultants, educators and others together to learn, network and advance the forage industry, says Beth Nelson, MFA president.

The Nov. 16-17 research summit will focus on reducing risks by taking advantage of new research and policy opportunities, says Nelson. Included will be reports on recent Midwest Forage Research Program projects and crop insurance options as well as updates on USDA-ARS research and NRCS conservation programs. Roundtable discussions and brainstorming sessions on what is and isn’t working in forage production and what research is needed to help producers will also be a part of the summit.

The Nov. 17-18 research symposium will include updates on recent USDA-ARS and NRCS research. It will feature a poster session, exhibits and networking opportunities. CEU credits will be available.
