Entry deadline for the 2012 World Ag Expo Forage Challenge is Dec. 15.
The clock is ticking for forage growers in 11 Western states looking to enter the 2012 World Ag Expo Forage Challenge. The entry deadline is Dec. 15.
Up to $18,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to top entries in alfalfa hay or standard or brown midrib (BMR) corn silage. Contest samples will be judged using forage lab analyses conducted by the University of California-Davis and by visual evaluations by dairy nutrition and forage production experts.
It will cost $25/sample to enter. Winners will be announced Feb. 14 at World Ag Expo in Tulare, CA. Get an entry form and full contest rules.
