All but one of the 22 alfalfa varieties being introduced for the 2009 planting season have been reviewed and approved for certification by the National Alfalfa and Miscellaneous Legumes Variety Review Board, an association of official seed certifying agencies. But that one is going through board review for approval in January (footnoted).
