American Forage And Grassland Council Increases Membership

The American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC) has increased its membership by 21% in the last year, says its president, Bill Tucker of Tucker Family Farms, Amherst, VA.

The organization, which promotes profitable production and sustainable utilization of quality forage and grasslands, gained more than 400 members and is now 2,361 members strong.

Part of that growth is due to the addition of another council — the North Carolina Forage and Grassland Council — making a total of 20 councils represented.

Tucker believes the growth is a direct response to a more engaged and proactive AFGC, providing successful conferences each year, an online membership directory, an enhanced quarterly newsletter and a leadership workshop.

For more information on AFGC, call 800-944-2342, visit www.afgc.org or email info@afgc.org.
