Selling hay to organic dairies will be a featured topic at Hay & Forage Grower's 2005 Western Hay Business Conference and Expo, set for Nov. 29-30 in Loveland, CO.

Bill Wailes, extension dairy specialist at Colorado State University, and Barney Little, hay buyer for Aurora Organic Dairy, will discuss the organic hay market and how to tap into it.

Speakers at another session will offer tips on successfully selling to the fast-growing horse market. And a National Hay Association spokesman will talk about that group's work to expand hay markets.

Designing alfalfas for better performance in dairy rations, irrigation efficiency, seedbed preparation, computerizing your hay business and Roundup Ready alfalfa are a few of the other scheduled topics. In addition, numerous companies that sell forage-related products will display their wares in the trade show.

The event will be held at The Ranch conference facility in Loveland. The cost is $150 per person; $125 for each additional person from the same operation.
