World’s Forage Analysis Superbowl Deadline Nears

Enter the annual World’s Forage Analysis Superbowl by Sept. 3 and be eligible to win cash prizes totaling more than $17,000. Winners will be announced at a luncheon during the World Dairy Expo, to be held Sept. 29-Oct. 3 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI.

Winning forage samples will be on display at the east end of the Arena Building, next to the seminar area. Nearly 200 entries from more than 20 states will compete for top honors in six categories: dairy hay, dairy haylage, corn silage (standard), corn silage (BMR), commercial hay and baleage. Cash will also be awarded to the winners of two new quality categories plus the grand champion forage producer and top first-time entrant.

The cash awards will be supported by the following sponsors: Mycogen Seeds, Kuhn North America, Syngenta, Kent Feeds, Bridon Cordage, Ag-Bag, W-L Alfalfas, Croplan Genetics, Tigerco and the National Hay Association. All winners will be invited to the Sept. 30 Mycogen Seeds Forage Superbowl Luncheon to receive their cash prizes. Entry fee is $25 and includes complete nutritional analysis of the forage sample. For rules and entry forms, go online or call 715-758-2178.
