All alfalfa and other forage producers in Minnesota and Wisconsin are being asked to complete a brief, 12-question survey before Friday, June 13.
The forage teams of the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin are collaboratively working to better understand the scope, severity and causes of this year’s alfalfa winter injury reported throughout the two states.
The survey, found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/alfalfainjury2013, assumes all the farmers taking it will have stands with winterkill. It asks the extent of injury, how old the stand injured, how many times the stand was cut in 2012 and other questions. The forage teams ask that only one survey per farm be taken.
The summarized survey results will be shared at future Minnesota and Wisconsin forage programs.
