Colorado hay growers have until June 15 to submit listings for the 2011 Colorado Hay Directory. The publication, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, markets Colorado hay to buyers in the state and around the country.
Beginning in August, this year's directory will be available through Colorado State University Extension offices and various state livestock associations. The free publication will also be distributed at major ag events, including the Colorado State Fair, National Western Stock Show and the Colorado Farm Show. An online version will be posted on the Colorado Department of Agriculture's (CDA) Web site.
Listings are grouped by region of the state and include the type and amount of hay available, bale type and size, whether or not laboratory analysis is available, certified weed-free status and whether the hay is organic. The cost is $25/listing.
Companies that offer hay-related products or services can advertise for a fee. For more information, or to receive a listing form, call 303-239-4115 or e-mail email@example.com.
