Lower hay supplies have brought prices way up in some states, but not others.
Lower hay supplies have brought prices way up in some states, but not others. Prices for high-quality alfalfa range from roughly the same as year-ago levels, to $50/ton higher.
These prices were gathered in late February from hay growers, dealers and USDA.
Figures followed by (D) are delivered prices. All others are at the farm. Cube and pellet prices are bulk unless otherwise indicated.
