The real costs of harvesting hay will be among topics covered during the 2013 Arkansas Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC) meeting, Oct. 31. The event will take place at the Woodland Heights Baptist Church Education Building in Conway.

Other agenda presentations will include: reducing hay waste during winter feeding, a bermudagrass stem maggot update and a producer panel discussion on using GPS navigation systems for forage management.

The all-day event starts at 8:30 a.m. and will cost $45/person, $50/couple or $15/student. Lunch, conference materials and membership in AFGC are included.
