National hay and photo contests will be part of the American Forage and Grassland Council’s annual meeting, set for July 14-17 in Bloomington, MN.
The national hay show will include various classes for both grasses and legumes. Judging will be based on relative feed value, physical appearance and crude protein. Awards will be presented to the top three entries in each class, and up to seven "champions of show" will be named.

The purpose of the national photo contest is to recognize the multifaceted use of forages through photography. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best photo. Classes include production, utilization, research, people and other. Two entries per class are allowed.
