A symposium and joint meeting of the Wisconsin Forage Council, Wisconsin Custom Operators, and Professional Nutrient Applicators of Wisconsin will be held Jan 27-28 at the Plaza Hotel & Suites, Eau Claire.

Scheduled first-day topics include: Machinery management for reducing soil compaction, how to grow your business, emergency crops, weed control in alfalfa, stretching low forage inventories, making and feeding bale silage, and the Custom Harvester Analysis and Management program (CHAMP).

Second-day topics will include: Farm layout for efficient operation, reducing accounts receiv-able, nutrient management regulations, forages and the new farm bill, pricing corn silage, and tire selection to avoid compaction and roadway damage.
