Hay sales and demand remain steady, though sale volumes are still comparatively weak in many areas. Wildfires in the West are still causing miserable air quality conditions and longer hay dry down times in the field. Below are examples of alfalfa and grass prices being paid FOB (except for those noted as delivered, which is indicated by a "d" in the table below) for selected states at the end of the day on Friday, August 28.
