2019 Pennsylvania Hay Show Recap and Results

This item has been supplied by a forage marketer and has not been edited, verified or endorsed by Hay & Forage Grower.

The 2019 Pennsylvania Hay Show was held at Ag Progress Days and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Forage and Grassland Council. Despite the variable and challenging weather for the start of the 2019 hay season, we had 62 entries.

Hay is judged on both visual and chemical characteristics and 1st through 5th placings are awarded to each class with more than 5 entries. Premiums and ribbons are awarded to 1st through 5th placings in each class, and all participants receive quality analysis information for every sample entered. Hay entries are disqualified if they are comprised of species or percentages of species not listed on the official hay show brochure, or if they are listed in the incorrect harvest classification of their respective class.
