Rock River Laboratory has hired Katie Raver as Animal Nutrition and Field Support Specialist. Based out of Texas, Raver will be using her ruminant nutrition skillset to provide technical support, help customers troubleshoot nutrition challenges, and foster relationships within the Pacific Northwest, southern, southeastern, and western US. “Katie’s unique background and vibrant personality will be a great asset to our growing customer base in the southern half of the US,” says Zac Meyer, Rock River Laboratory director of operations. “Opportunities abound as agriculture adjusts to the new climate brought on in 2020, and we know Katie can help improve efficiency and profitability in the dairy and beef industries.” Raver earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Illinois in 2013, followed by a master’s degree focusing on forage quality, which she completed in 2015. Formerly a dairy field technical specialist with an animal nutrition supplement company, Raver’s broad experience also includes work within the agronomy and beef sectors.
