Society for Range Management’s Producers Forum will Feature Renowned Experts on Regenerative Grazing and Soil Health

The 2025 Producer’s Forum, a highlight of the 78th Annual Meeting of the Society for Range Management, will be held in Spokane, Washington on February 10, 2025. This year’s forum promises to be an extraordinary event, offering ranchers, land managers, and conservationists an unparalleled opportunity to enhance their operations while employing sustainable rangeland management. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with internationally known speakers:

  • Allan Savory, founder of Savory Global and developer of Holistic Management as applied to ranching and land management
  • Alejandro Carrillo, Holistic Management practitioner, fourth generation northern Mexico rancher, and leader in regenerative grazing
  • Jon Lundgren, agro-ecologist director of ECDYSIS (shedding of skin, like a reptile) Foundation and Blue Dasher Farm, a regenerative agricultural research farm.

Highlights. Producers Forum will open with a discussion between Savory and Carrillo exploring foundational principles and practical applications of holistic grazing and resource management. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly and discuss strategies to restore ecosystem health, increase productivity, and address unique challenges of rangeland management through adaptive practices.

Following, Lundgren will lead a conversation on the transformative potential of regenerative agriculture, sharing his research and field experience on how biodiversity and soil health improvements contribute to both economic and ecological resilience,

reduce dependency on inputs, enhance ecosystem services, and create more sustainable agricultural operations.

The day will conclude with a roundtable discussion.

Producers Forum will begin at 10:20 a.m. in Room 300A of the Spokane Convention Center and end at 5:00 p.m. Producers may register to participate in person or virtually. SRM offers three types of registration: entire meeting in-person, one day in-person, and entire meeting virtual. One day, in-person registration costs $180 and entitles registrants to participate in all meeting sessions for the day. Virtual registration for the entire meeting is $150. SRM has about 4,000 members worldwide, and expects about 1,350 in Spokane.
