The 24th Kentucky Alfalfa Conference is set for Feb. 26 at the convention center in Cave City.

Scheduled topics by University of Kentucky personnel include: grazing and fertilizing alfalfa, measuring temperature in hay, successful alfalfa establishment, moisture and temperature management during hay and silage production, and balancing the agronomics and economics of alfalfa hay production.

In addition, Tom Keene of Creech, Inc., Lexington, and Nicky Baker, a Fredonia, KY, grower, will discuss marketing Kentucky alfalfa. Hybrid and Roundup Ready alfalfa will be covered by Dairyland Seed’s Mike Velde and Monsanto’s Dan Foor, respectively.
