Rock River Laboratory announces the hiring of Keisha Verbeten as an animal nutrition analysis summer intern. Verbeten will take part in benchtop chemistry and analysis, reviewing and deciphering research data, and visiting farms for troubleshooting, utilizing analysis information.
Verbeten recently completed her junior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in dairy science and agronomy, with a certificate in agricultural business management. Outside of her curriculum, Verbeten is active in the Association of Women in Agriculture (AWA) organization and Badger Crops Club on campus. Prior to joining Rock River Laboratory, Verbeten gained experience testing programs, creating videos, and updating visual aids as a student worker with SnapPlus.
“We are very excited to have Keisha joining our laboratory team for the summer,” says Eva Lynch, Rock River Laboratory wet chemistry lab supervisor. “Her background, interest in science, and hard-working attitude bring a lot to the table as we look at new opportunities for animal nutrition research and analyses.”
