Texas A&M AgriLife Extension has released a new publication on the sugarcane aphid. The Sugarcane Aphid: A New Pest of Grain and Forage Sorghum summarizes the latest information on biology, scouting, economic thresholds, and insecticides for sugarcane aphid control in grain and forage sorghum.

The sugarcane aphid is a new and widespread pest of both grain and forage sorghums in the southern U.S. In 2014, its presence was confirmed in 12 states.

The new publication will be updated as additional research becomes available and can be found here.
