An alfalfa field day will be held May 16 at the Albert Hale farm near Bishop, GA, hosted by University of Georgia Extension and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Topics will include an overview of growing alfalfa in the South in 2012, a farmer’s perspective on alfalfa, utilizing other legumes, and crop insurance programs for grass crops.
