Now in its 49th year, the Symposium is a comprehensive and educational program for anyone with an interest in important issues related to alfalfa and forages. Economics and Markets, Forage Cropping Systems, Pest Management, Forages Beyond Alfalfa, and Forage Quality are just a few of the topics that will be covered in this year’s Symposium.

An optional Forage Irrigation Management Workshop will also be offered, offering a primer on the skills necessary for managing irrigation on your farm.

The 2019 Western Alfalfa & Forage Symposium is organized by University Cooperative Extension Services of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming, in cooperation with grower members of the California Alfalfa & Forage Association.
