NY Hay Sales, an 1,800 acre farm has implemented new forage technology to counteract the wetter than normal conditions in Upstate New York. Producing dry forage for the equine and cattle markets on the eastern seaboard and Caribbean proves to be challenging in Upstate New York. Ed Potrzeba, Jr., owner of NY Hay Sales will host an open house on December 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live demonstrations of the new forage technology will be available for the public.

Ed Potrzeba, states, “This new technology allows NY Hay Sales to produce quality dry forage in fewer days than traditional methods. This is the FIRST of its kind in New York State. In the past several years there have been fewer dry days to make hay during the summer season making hay a very difficult crop to harvest. Investing in the new technology has allowed NY Hay Sales to hire additional staff and to continue to promote agriculture in New York State”

Potrzeba is inviting all to come view this new technology from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 2nd, 2023 at their new 26,000 square foot processing facility located at 7150 Hoose Rd Earlville, NY 13332.
