Re-Evaluating the How & Why of Cover Crops, Corn Silage After the BMR Era, and Alfalfa & You: Food, Health, & Beauty are just a few of the many presentations offered at Midwest Forage Association’s (MFA) Tour de Forage held in locations throughout Minnesota on Tuesday through Thursday, January 20-22. Dr. Jo Heuschele, research agronomist at the USDA-ARS St. Paul Plant Science Research Unit, is the keynote speaker. Dr. Heuschele’s lab uses physics, plant physiology, biochemistry and genetics to study plant movement, forage quality and nutrition.

"MFA’s Tour de Forage brings research and real-world experience together in a way that’s meaningful for farmers," said Beth Nelson, MFA President. “With experts from Extension, USDA-ARS, and industry, this year’s program will address the diverse forage challenges and opportunities across Minnesota.”
