Many growers prepare for the spring growing season by attending and learning from farm tours and conferences.
We know you’re hard at work preparing for spring. Loading up on inputs. Repairing and testing your forage equipment. Prepping fields. But we want to see photographic proof of the measures forage growers and livestock producers are taking to get ready for the growing season.
That’s right. It’s time for a Hay & Forage Grower Photo Contest. We would like farmers and their families to capture the essence of the transition from winter to spring on the farm.
Please email digital copies of the photographs to email@example.com by April 1. The editors will narrow down the offerings and the winner will be presented a $200 cash card. We’ll award runner-up prizes as well and post all photo submissions on our Facebook page.
Requirements: Digital files should be taken at as high a resolution as possible. When emailing, put “Photo Contest” in the subject line and include your name, postal address and phone number. If there’s a story behind the photo, let us know what it is. There is a limit of five photo entries per family. Try to limit the size of the photos to 4 megabytes per email. If you have any questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you wish to send photos by mail, please submit duplicates to:
