The first of five Wisconsin winter hay auctions will be held Dec. 14, according to the Sheboygan County Forage Council. Subsequent sale dates are Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 14 and April 11. The noon auctions will be at Chissy’s Pub & Grill in Waldo. Hay for sale should be at the site by 11:30 a.m.

In a major change from past years, the 2011-12 auctions will not be quality-tested because of the costs of testing forage on site and a falloff in attendance in recent years.
