Combating dry conditions with limited resources and maintaining healthy crops will be focal points at this year’s Southwest Hay & Forage Conference in Ruidoso, NM. The conference will be held at the Ruidoso Convention Center on Jan. 26-27.
Agenda topics include strategies for water use and alfalfa management in dry climates, research findings for drought-tolerant alfalfa varieties, changes to pesticide applicator rules, an overview of how dairies are coping with high feed costs and more.
Sponsored by the New Mexico Hay Association and New Mexico State University Extension, the conference will include a trade show featuring farm equipment and various alfalfa and other forage-related products.
