The Cutlass Mower blade with four cutting tips.

For years I have been working to design a standard mower blade with quick-change metal cutting tips but was never satisfied with the performance, and they did not pass our safety tests,” says Richard Kuhns,Green Acres Group LLC. “After seeing a hay mower at a farm show in 2015, I began to think that if rotary blade with flail tips could cut hay they could surely cut grass, too.

That was the germ of the idea that led to the design of the Cutlass Lawnmower Blade which has an all-new blade design with three distinct advantages.

  • Better discharge in tall or wet grass due to having twice as many cutting tips as a regular blade.

  • Pivoting blade tips can swing back into the blade, allowing them to last longer if the blade hits something solid.

  • Quick-change cutting tips can be removed with no tools for easy sharpening or replacing.
