Hay movement is somewhat sluggish in many areas as dairy quality hay remains hard to find. At least one report indicated that sellers were holding onto inventories in hopes of higher prices. Below are examples of alfalfa and grass prices being paid FOB (except for those noted as delivered, which is indicated by a "d" in the table below) for selected states at the end of the day on Friday, August 7.
