Lallemand Animal Nutrition welcomes Carissa Adams as Documentation Coordinator, Amanda Lichtensteiger as Ruminant Product Manager and Megan Lillis Smith, Ph.D., as Territory Business Manager – Northeastern U.S.

Adams, Documentation Coordinator
Carissa Adams

With a degree in biomolecular chemistry, Adams brings technical expertise to the North American team. As Documentation Coordinator with Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Adams is responsible for managing product and quality assurance documentation for all North and Central American products. The role is critical to supporting products produced at the company’s Milwaukee location, including: Bactocell® lactic acid bacteria and Biotal® and Sil-All® silage inoculants. Most recently, Adams worked as a chemist and head of regulatory affairs. She also worked as a lab technician for a Fortune 500 company and research assistant for the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.



Lichtensteiger, Ruminant Product Manager
Amanda Lichtensteiger

Lichtensteiger brings eight years of marketing experience to Lallemand Animal Nutrition. Previously, she worked with animal health clients at two Wisconsin-based integrated marketing agencies where she introduced industry-wide antibiotic stewardship strategies and supervised advertising campaigns. Lichtensteiger earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and is a class 9 graduate of the Young Dairy Leaders Institute. As the Ruminant Product Manager, Lichtensteiger is responsible for marketing leading brands such as ProTernative®, Levucell® SC, and Micro-Cell® probiotics.



Smith, Territory Business Manager – Northeastern U.S.
Smith supports customers in the Northeast using both her personal experience as a dairy farmer and professional expertise in dairy nutrition and silage. Smith and her husband operate the Silver Lining Dairy in Ottsville, Pa. She also conducted dairy and silage research under the guidance of renowned agricultural expert Limin Kung, Jr., at the University of Delaware, where Smith earned her doctoral degree specializing in dairy cattle nutrition. She earned her master’s degree in dairy nutrition from South Dakota State University and her undergraduate degree in dairy science from Delaware Valley University.

As Territory Business Manager, Smith works with customers, distributors, veterinarians, and nutritionists across the Northeastern United States supporting Lallemand Animal Nutrition’s complete portfolio of probiotics, silage inoculants, and yeast derivatives like Agrimos® and Alkosel®.
