Field demonstrations of forage-harvesting equipment, educational sessions on forage management and displays of forage-related products and equipment will be featured at the 2014 Illinois Forage Expo.
The event is scheduled for July 17 at the Tony Snow farm near Mulberry Grove.
Also on the expo agenda is a Quality Hay & Haylage Contest offering four hay classes and one haylage class. Crop harvested in 2014 is eligible and entry is free. NIRS analysis will also be provided free of charge. Each winner will receive a certificate.
The event is co-sponsored by the Illinois Forage and Grassland Council (IFGC), University of Illinois Extension and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
