The latest forage research will be highlighted at a meeting that will also work to set research priorities for the Midwest Forage Research Program (MFRP) of the Midwest Forage Association (MFA).

MFA and the Industry Extension Forage Advisory Council will jointly host the 2012 Risk Management Research Summit scheduled for the afternoon of Nov. 7 and the morning of Nov. 8 at the Holiday Inn in Rochester, MN.

Producers and Extension, research and industry representatives will learn about forage research conducted at land-grant universities in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin, as well as USDA-ARS research. Attendees will also participate in the process of reviewing and updating the research priorities associated with MFA’s MFRP to guide future research decisions.

The agenda will include an alfalfa-forage poster session and an evening dinner to network and review forage research currently under way.

Participation is free for those who preregister.
