AgChat, a weekly moderated conversation on Twitter, was started a year ago by Michele Payn-Knoper of Cause Matters Corp.

So far the Tuesday night event (visit at 8-10 Eastern time) has a following of 4,500 people ranging from eager college students to farmers of all ages, to university Extension specialists, agribusiness people and foodies.

“It is completely overwhelming the first time, so give it a second time, because it literally is 1,000-plus tweets over the two hours,” she warns.
