The assets of J.A. Freeman, Inc., Portland, OR, and Ag-Bag International Limited, Warrenton, OR, have been sold, respectively, to Allied Systems Co., also of Portland, and Miller-St. Nazianz, Inc., St. Nazianz, WI.
Freeman makes pull-type, in-line and big balers, bale stackers, bale wagons, feeders and compressors, plus dewatering and baling equipment for the pulp and food processing industries. The haying equipment is known for its ruggedness and reliability.
Allied Systems is a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of heavy lift and material handling equipment. Its product lines include marine cranes, log stackers, coal and chip dozers, skidders, winches and forklift attachments.
It plans to continue distributing the Freeman products under the Freeman name and through existing distributor networks.
