A University of Georgia (UG) study on enhanced-efficiency nitrogen fertilizer products, featured in our February issue of Hay & Forage Grower, will get some airtime tonight, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. Central time.

Dennis Hancock, UG Extension forage specialist, will report his findings on Agrotain on RFD-TV.

“I will be … presenting some of the research that my team and I have been doing with several ‘Enhanced-Efficiency’ nitrogen fertilizer products. After a discussion of our research and the findings of others in the U.S., we will be answering call-in questions,” he says.

Hancock, in our article entitled “Enhancing Nitrogen Use On Hay Crops,” says that, in bermudagrass, Agrotain reduces ammonia volatilization an average of 60% and increases yields about 10%.

“The bottom line? With Agrotain, urea will go 20% further in terms of recovery of nitrogen,” Hancock says. To read the entire story, click here.
