Livestock producers wanting to improve the productivity of their pastures can take advantage of two Indiana grazingmeetings early next month.

The Southern Indiana Grazing Conference is set for Feb. 1 at the Simon J. Graber Building in Odon. The Northern Indiana Grazing Conference will take place Feb. 3-4 at the Michiana Event Center in Howe.

"There continues to be interest in utilizing improved grazing management systems in Indiana," says Keith Johnson, Purdue University Extension forage specialist and speaker at the northern Indiana conference.

"The forage conferences will provide ample opportunity for attendees to interact with one another and agribusiness vendors who have resources to help implement improved grazing systems."

The conferences will feature presentations by agronomists, farmers and Extension experts, and will also include exhibits from agribusinesses.

Registration for the southern Indiana conference is $25 until Jan. 18; $35 after that date. Walk-in registration is $40. Visit here for more information.

One-day registration for the northern Indiana conference is $35 and $25 for each additional person from the same farm. Two-day registration is $55 for the first person from each farm and $40 for each additional person. Visit here for more information.
