Photos of the alfalfa category winners, along with those of the top three finishers in the contest’s BMR and traditional corn silage categories, have been posted on hayandforage.com.

The Forage Challenge is open to farmers and ranchers from 11 Western states. This year’s contest drew 77 entries. First-place winners in each of the three categories received $3,000. Second-place category winners were awarded $2,000 each, while third-place winners each received $1,000. The Forage Challenge was presented by Mycogen Seeds; the contest's awards and prizes were sponsored by Lallemand Animal Nutrition North America.
