Five from a line of nine new compact tractor models are now available from Bobcat. The tractors feature four-wheel drive and hydrostatic transmissions and can be used with Bobcat implements. The CT120 features a 20-hp diesel engine; the CT122, a 22-hp engine. Both come with two travel-speed ranges. The CT225 has a 27-hp diesel engine; the CT230, a 30-hp engine; and the CT235, a 34-hp engine. All three have three-speed travel. Four other models will be introduced later this year.
Large Square Baler
Massey Ferguson's Hesston Series Model 2150 square baler builds 3 × 3' bales for producers who want high-capacity machines, but prefer slightly smaller bales than those made by the 3 × 4' and 4 × 4' machines. It utilizes Hesston's proven single gearbox and chain-drive system and new features, including higher-grade steel for added durability and longer life, increased flywheel weight for greater plunger inertia and new slip clutches engineered with five discs instead of four for longer slip clutch life. A lower-profile four-bar pickup bar retains more of the hay leaves, and a torsion bar flotation system eliminates crop-catching and trash-collecting springs.
Patz Sales, Inc., introduces its 810-cu ft Model 2400 Twin Screw vertical mixer. The machine has up to 950 cu ft of mixing capacity when optional side extensions are added. Designed for large farm operations, the unit is also available in 950 cu ft with a mixing capacity up to 1,100 cu ft with side extensions. It consistently delivers a fast mix and evenly discharged, thoroughly blended ration regardless of batch size.
Remote Kit For Tarps
Agri-Cover, Inc., Jamestown, ND, has released a kit that converts any existing electric spool roll tarp or side-locking tarp system to a remote system. The universal remote kit allows operators to roll tarp from the cab. It includes a sealed weather-resistant control box and a manual control switch for alternate operating methods.
DuraTech Industries/Haybuster's high-capacity GP-50 Grain Processor has the grain-grinding technology of the Haybuster H-1100 tub grinder, but with added capacity. The unit's hammermill technology provides a fine-grind end result as compared to a rollermill. Its recommended horsepower requirement is 200-300. The 50” hammermill is fitted with triple hammers placed in a spiral V pattern for increased grinding capacity. The 14” belly auger provides fast and positive removal of ground product.
