Hotline Helps Get Hay To Ranchers Hit By Fires

The Montana Department of Agriculture has added a way to help producers who have suffered forage losses from wildfires. A “wildfire-related” category has been added to its Hay Hotline, allowing individuals to offer hay or pasture donations – or reduced prices – to those producers.

The new category has been added under the Hay and Pasture Listings, under "Select Forage Type." Those with forage to donate, or with specific fire-related forage needs, can exchange contact information and connect with each other.

For more information, call 406-444-2402 or visit the Hay Hotline Web site.
