Hay prices and availability as well as corn silage pricing strategies will be major focuses at the 2012 Hay And Forage Seminars, to be held at the Feb. 14-16 World Ag Expo in Tulare, CA.

Sponsored by Mycogen Seeds and Hay & Forage Grower, the seminars will be held Feb. 14 at the Seminar Center, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With University of California, Davis expertise and hay marketing research by Seth Hoyt of The Hoyt Report, the seminars will cover:

  • The Western hay markets,
  • How to price corn silage based on quality,
  • What’s new in hay-harvesting equipment or innovations.

A panel of producers and a dairy nutritionist will also lead a discussion of high-quality forages and what they can do to improve a dairy’s bottom line. For details, visit www.worldagexpo.com.
